A new subgenus of the genus Colastes Haliday (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) for species reared from bracket fungi, with description of two new species from Europe
A new Holarctic subgenus (Fungivenator subgen. nov.) of the genus Colastes Haliday, 1833 (Hymenoptera: Braconidae: Exothecinae) is proposed for a group of species that, as far as is known, has its larvae living on hosts in bracket fungi. The type species (Colastes sandei sp. nov. from Netherlands, Germany and England)...Achterberg, C van ; Shaw, Mark R

Notes on the host-feeding and hyperparasitic behaviours of Itoplectis species (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae, Pimplinae)
Dissections of campoplegine ichneumonid prepupae in cocoons parasitised by Itoplectis maculator and I. aterrima revealed that both are truly endoparasitic in this context, and that campoplegine prepupae remain capable of movement for a time following parasitisation by these Itoplectis species. Oviposition and host-feeding behaviours by the two Itoplectis species are...Shaw, Mark R

The palaeoenvironment associated with a partial iguanadon skeleton from the Upper Weald clay (Barremian, Early Cretaceous) at Smokejacks brickworks (Ockley, Surrey, UK) based on palynomorphs and ostracods
In 2001 a partial skeleton of an Iguanodon was discovered in the Upper Weald Clay (Barremian, Early Cretaceous) at Smokejacks Brickworks near Ockley, Surrey, UK. When the dinosaur was excavated, a detailed stratigraphic section was logged and 25 samples taken for palynological and micropalaeontological (ostracod and megaspore) analysis, including a...Nye, E ; Feist-Burkhardt, S ; Horne, D J ; Ross, Andrew ; Whittaker, J E

Late Ordovician brachiopod faunas from Pomeroy, Northern Ireland: a palaeoenvironmental synthesis
Comparisons of the Caradoc assemblages with North American biofacies indicate that the Bardahessiagh Formation was deposited during a transgressive regime, which peaked with the presence of a typical Sericoidea association (member (II)). These diverse and exceptionally preserved faunas lived below the storm-wave base. The assemblages also contained a shallower water...Candela, Yves

Statistical comparisons of late Caradoc (Ordovician) brachiopod faunas around the Iapetus Ocean, and terranes located around Australia, Kazakhstan and China
Statistical comparisons, based on 173 genera distributed in 27 Caradoc localities from around the world, show strong faunal similarities between North and South China and the Chu-Ili terrane, the Chingiz terrane and Australia/Tasmania. The Scoto-Appalachian fauna of the Laurentian terrane shows closer similarities to faunas from the Gornoi-Altai terrane (belonging...Candela, Yves
