Biological and morphological studies on the parasitoids (Hymenoptera, Ichneumonidae) of Aprosthema tardum (Klug) (Hymenoptera, Argidae, Sterictiphorinae) in Var, southern France

A rearing record of Homolobus (Phylacter) meridionalis van Achterberg (Hymenoptera: Braconidae, Homolobinae) in the south of France
Homolobus (Phylacter) meridionalis is recorded parasitizing the noctuid Dryobota labecula (Esper, 1788) feeding in spring on Quercus in southern France. The adult parasitoid emerged in the autumn; evidence is presented to suggest that it is a bivoltine species, likely to parasitize low-feeding noctuids in its overwintering generation. Contributions to the study of the Holarctic fauna of Microgastrinae (Hymenoptera, Braconidae). I. Introduction and first results of transatlantic comparisons
