Abstract
The story of Roman Scotland often gets told from the Roman point of view, with a focus on the army and its actions. But the legions did not simply march into an empty landscape. The Iron Age peoples of Scotland reacted to this invasion in many different ways, from outright resistance to taking advantage. Join Dr Fraser Hunter, an Iron Age and Roman curator at the National Museum of Scotland as he talks about the effects of the Roman occupation and the changing interactions between the invader and the invaded.
