Abstract
We've developed an entomological pinning block that is easier to use than other types. It has grooves in the top surface to help with finding the pin holes, and to keep capsules in place during pinning. The windows at each side allow left- or right-handed use - it's easier to see if the specimen is fully pinned. The plastic material is softer and less likely to blunt pins during insertion.
