Abstract
Renewable energy is highlighted in the National Museums Scotland Collections Development Strategy which states that NMS will build on its world class energy collections by working with industry and universities and will represent the user experience of domestic energy consumption as much as energy generation. This presentation will examine the extent to which this has been achieved to date through the collection of a diverse range of renewable energy objects and how we aim to continue to develop and expand on this, increasing the breadth of our collection to show how renewable energy research and innovation in Scotland is having international impact as well as changing our domestic energy landscape.
