Abstract
Adrian Maldonado (currently curator of the Galloway Hoard, NMS), specialists in early medieval history, previously called “ the dark ages“, completed the afternoon by providing invaluable perspectives on the digs and finds, drawing on information from other sites in Scotland including Iona.
