Abstract
This part of the collection and display covers a range of large ground-based equipment, such as fire trucks and radar dishes. The Namsos Airport control tower was transported from Namsost after it was decommissioned in 2000 and can now be visited at the museum for views of the surrounding area. From here, Hangar 96 is visible in the rockface across the air force runway. This hangar housed Starfighters during the Cold War and was built to withstand attack by nuclear missiles
