Abstract
Working Stone, Making Communities took as its focus the prehistoric and ethnographic stone tool of Orkney. The basic aim was to determine, as comprehensively as possible, the history and composition of relevant asspemblages from across the region. We were also commited to communicating the results of our work to profrssional/specialist and wider audiences, using online media to promote new forms of engagement with the material.
