Abstract
This brief contribution discussed the concept of a Scottish Chalcolithic in terms of the available evidence from metalwork and early Beaker graves. It is argued that a Chalcolithic phase can be demonstrated to have existed in Scotland; it is characterised as/subsumed within an 'Early Beaker' identity.
