Abstract
IWM Duxford is a working airfield, aside from exhibiting the history of aircraft, air warfare and the technologies and people involved in conflict, it also hosts air shows. There are eight exhibition spaces on the airfield, most of these are repurposed aircraft hangars. The Second World War has a prominent position in displays in all exhibitions. The American Air Museum is a distinct entity that approaches the history of the American Air Force in Britain. The Cold War features elsewhere at IWM Duxford in the following areas:
