Abstract

Gall wasp associated with Cork oak, Quercus suber, in Britain are reviewed. Notes are provided on the distribution and bionomics in Britain. Five species of gall wasp were found associated with Quercus suber of which Plagiotrochus amenti is reported new to Britain in 2017 and Pseudoneutrus saliens is reported new to Scotland in 2020. Saphonecrus gallaepomiformis appears to be represented in Britain by two sympatic host races, one associated with hosts on Q. ilex and the other with hosts on Q. suber, the latter was not previously known in Britain.
