Abstract
Hangar One: RAF Stories, The First 100 Years 1918–2018
The gallery opened in 2018 to mark the 100-year anniversary of the RAF. The display is thematic rather than chronological. Its emphasis has turned away from providing technical information about large aircraft, towards celebrating the role and experiences of people involved in the RAF across its history. Life size panels of personnel intersperse displays and kiosks, providing information about, and quotes from, each individual on the other side.
