Abstract
We present a genome assembly from an individual male (the Common Snail-hunter beetle; Arthropoda; Insecta; Coleoptera; Silphidae). The genome sequence is 1,200.0 megabases in span. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 18 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the X and Y sex chromosomes. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 18.91 kilobases in length. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 33,118 protein coding genes.
