Abstract
We present a genome assembly from an individual female (false skin beetle; Arthropoda; Insecta; Coleoptera; Biphyllidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 421.11 megabases and 417.61 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (96.6%) is scaffolded into 18 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the X sex chromosome. Most of haplotype 2 (97.92%) is scaffolded into 18 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the X sex chromosome. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 18.12 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
