Abstract
Design in Postnormal Times is live streamed from the City Observatory on Edinburgh’s Calton Hill, today home to the visual arts organisation, Collective. Alice & Chris will talk for around 45 minutes, we will then invite questions and comments. Please type your questions and / or remarks in the box above. The conversation will be introduced by Susanna Beaumont, director of Design Exhibition Scotland.
Design in Postnormal Times is the first in three conversations presented by DES and supported by the Dutch Embassy in the UK, entitled Design for our Times. Bringing together designers, experimenters & academics from the Netherlands & Scotland to exchange thoughts & ideas, these live online conversations will explore both design in the time of a pandemic and the inspiring optimism of designers discovering new ways of working with everyday resources, to create new materials for our contemporary age.
