Abstract
I have written about videogames in museums, and videogame museums, several times on this blog, and featured still more guest posts about them. Looking back now, it’s dawned on me that the period covered by this blog, from 2014 onward, actually captures the mainstreaming of videogame museums around the world. Before this, there had been a few notable gaming exhibitions but very few dedicated museums, or videogame displays within larger museums.
