Abstract
For five years archaeologists have been investigating evidence of early medieval life in Whithorn. Now they can disclose some of the exciting insights they've achieved, bringing the past closer than ever before. What scientists and archaeologists are unearthing will revolutionise our understanding of the origins and spread of Christianity in Scotland. It will bring us closer to our ancestors, since thanks to the way archaeology itself is changing, merging with digital methods of visualising the past, scientists can now create exact portraits of people long gone, even finding out hair and eye colour from ancient DNA. Learn all about it in this informative hour with the experts.
